Robbie Perdue, Co-founder + Director of Operations
is a native North Carolinian who enjoys cooking, butchery, and is passionate about all things BBQ. He straddles two worlds as an IT professional and a farmer who loves heritage livestock and heirloom vegetables. His perfect day would be hunting deer, dove, or ducks then babysitting his smoker while watching the sunset over the blackwater of Lake Waccamaw.
Michael Maynor, Co-Founder + Editor-in-Chief
is a native North Carolinian with a passion for the sporting lifestyle and all things Southern. He can’t stop buying books and loves collecting old duck decoys. He seems ok, but deep down inside, he wants to be back in Africa . John 3:16
Andrew Todd, Online Copy Editor
is a native East Texan who now splits his time between Natchez, Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee, and the whole Mississippi Delta in between. An attorney by day, he can be found most evenings in his study sipping bourbon and reading.

is a recently retired law enforcement officer for a large Kansas City metropolitan agency. He also served in the United States Marine Corps for twelve years. Edgar’s passion lies in the uplands as he self-documents his travels across public lands throughout Kansas hunting open fields, walking treelines, & bustin’ through plum thickets in search of wild birds. is the pen-name of one of our contributor's. Will's name derives from a combination of the two main characters in Robert Penn Warren's novel, All the King's Men. A lifelong Southerner, Will is an attorney who enjoys skeet shooting, wing shooting, book reading, and bourbon drinking. He lives in Tennessee with his wife.

Is a journalist and writer known for meticulously reporting literary non-fiction.
