Feathers & Whiskey Podcast: Episode One

Meet the Men Behind the Magazine

We’re officially on the air.

In the very first episode of the Feathers & Whiskey Podcast, host Gunner Hall sits down with the two men who started it all—Mike Maynor and Robbie Perdue, the founders of Feathers & Whiskey Magazine. What began as a simple idea shared between friends with a love of the outdoors has grown into a multi-faceted brand rooted in Southern culture, global adventure, and honest storytelling.

In this episode, you’ll hear the real story of how Feathers & Whiskey came to be—from the early conversations around campfires and kitchen tables to the first magazine layout and the journey since. Mike and Robbie reflect on their shared vision, the passion that drives them, and where they see the brand heading next—including big plans for new platforms, partners, and creative ventures.

Along the way, the conversation touches on what makes the South so special, why storytelling matters, and a few wild outdoor memories—some heartwarming, some hilarious. Whether they’re talking about chasing ducks through flooded timber or planning a safari half a world away, it’s clear these guys live the life they write about.

This episode is more than just an introduction—it’s an invitation to be part of something that celebrates tradition, adventure, and the kind of friendships forged outdoors.

So grab your favorite drink, settle in, and listen to how Feathers & Whiskey took flight.
